Preservation Boards & Commissions Workshop

Olmsted Lodge, Highland Park 171 Reservoir Ave., Rochester, NY

Please join us for another evening of networking & learning at the Spring 2012 Preservation Boards & Commissions Workshop. Cultural landscapes--cemeteries, gardens, parks, squares, farmland, estates, college campuses, scenic highways and more--are found in rural, suburban, and urban communities throughout our region. Although landscapes can sometimes be overlooked in preservation discussions, they are just as important a part of the built environment as historic buildings and structures. Landscape architect, Ed Olinger, will present an introduction to cultural landscapes.Sponsored by the Monroe County Department of Parks.
