Annual Jubilee 2023

Presented by Marshall Boxes

(Scroll down for tickets starting October 2nd)

This year’s Jubilee will take place at Rochester’s only Boutique Urban Inn, The Inn on Broadway, located at 26 Broadway on Friday, December 1st, 6pm.

Designed by architect Leon Stern, The Inn on Broadway was originally built in 1929 as the third location for the University Club of Rochester. The building has since been beautifully restored into the Inn as it stands today. A 25-room Urban Inn where modern luxury meets historic charm is surely a tribute to the city’s prestigious history that exudes the glamour and grandeur of the Flower City.

In late December 2022, Rochester Historic Properties LLC — a partnership with Tim Tompkins, Giovanni LiDestri and Mike Tambe purchased the building and began renovations almost immediately. “We discovered an old racquetball court, a sauna, and a pool we never knew existed,” Tompkins said. “It’s going to take a lot of work to restore that area, but we have some ideas.” When The University Club opened, women weren’t allowed, so they gathered in the parlor while the men patronized the club. Tompkins plans to use the former parlor to honor women of Rochester. “I’d like to pay tribute to the modern-day women of achievement,” he said. “There are a lot of great women from this community.”

As in past years, the Jubilee will offer an assortment of silent auction experiences to bid on, hors d’ oeuvres, plated dinner and dessert provided by Tournedos, which has become Rochester’s premier steakhouse. The evening’s live musical entertainment will feature The Bob Sneider Trio with accomplished guest flutist and Landmark Society Trustee, Tim Forster, and world class singer Madeline Forster.
