Peony Weekend at Ellwanger Garden

Gardens are never the same – they change from week to week or even day to day. That’s why we offer lots of chances to visit the historically gorgeous Ellwanger Garden.

Peony Weekend is the perfect example.  Saturday and Sunday May 31 and June 1st you’ll be welcome to view the garden at its most colorful. Many different varieties of peony, including herbaceous and woody stemmed, illuminate the garden in a riot of color.  Of course we all know how Mother Nature can be a bit tricky with her timing.  No matter if the peonies are early, late, or right on time – there will be incredible blooms to enjoy at the garden as a succession of perennials take their turn.

Ellwanger Garden is located at 625 Mt. Hope Avenue.  We’ll be open from 10 am to 4 pm each day with parking available on nearby McLean Street (just follow the parking signs.) Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5 to support the garden.
