Info Meeting - Landmark Travels Prague and Danube Explorer Cruise

Grab a glass of wine and join us next Tuesday, January 16th at 5:00pm for an online informational meeting about our upcoming fall trip. We’re so excited to head back to Europe for a 2-night stay in Prague followed by a 9-night Danube River Cruise. Tuesday’s Zoom presentation will fill you in on the highlights of our next adventure, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions of our tour leaders. Register at the link below!

Prague and Danube River Cruise – September 29 – October 11, 2024
We will only be taking 30 guests on this exciting tour of the three architectural gems of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Our guests will experience an exclusive pre-cruise tour of Prague where we will meet Landmark friends, the Becan family – Frank, Hanna, Martin, Marketa, and their two girls. Our home base will be the elegant Hotel Pariz Prague and highlights will be a visit to the historic town of Kutna Hora and a magnificent view of Old Town Square and the Astronomical clock during a rooftop dinner at the Hotel U Prince. Then we will transfer to our Emerald Cruise Star Ship to embark on a first class cruise down the Danube River with beautiful staterooms, gourmet meals, and an indoor pool. We will visit the charming towns and villages of Passau, Germany; Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic; Linz, Melk, and Weissenkirchen, Austria; and Bratislava, Slovakia. There will be numerous excursions, hiking opportunities, and cultural activities, including a Landmark guest meet and greet with acclaimed actress, Sona MacDonald. Pricing starts at $5,244 per person, and free airfare has been extended to January 31, 2024.

YUP Happy Hour at Rising Storm Brewing Co. next week

The Young Urban Preservationists (YUPs) are kicking off 2024 with a Happy Hour at Rising Storm at The Mill. In case you haven’t heard, Rising Storm Brewing Company has opened a new brewery at the former site of the historic Daisy Flour Mill at 1880 Blossom Road.
Join us from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, January 18th for an informal gathering upstairs at The Mill.
Haven’t been involved in YUPs yet? That’s okay! This invitation is open to all those interested in promoting inclusive, modern, and innovative preservation practices to help revitalize communities and our built environment…and have fun doing it!

Landmark Travels - Only 9 days left to sign up for Arte Cuba

There are still a few spots available for the Arte Cuba trip! Reservations can be made up until January 19th, so don’t hesitate!

Arte Cuba – April 22 – May 2, 2024
The Landmark Society is excited that we are finally going back to the beautiful island of Cuba for an 11 day Landmark Travels tour. We have a wonderful trip planned that highlights the arts. We will be staying in Havana, Cienfuegos, and Varadero, with visits to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites and one UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Architecture, music, art, and great food in the company of Landmark friends (old or new). Pricing starting at $5,615 per person (member, double occupancy). Reserve your spot by January 19th.

Save the Date for the 2024 NY Statewide Preservation Conference

The NY Statewide Preservation Conference, presented by Rochester Colonial, is returning to Rochester, April 15th to 17th. The Conference will take place at the Memorial Art Gallery (500 University Avenue), and we have a variety of off-site tours and field sessions in the works. Early Bird Registration will open on February 14th.
