ROC the Day with The Landmark Society!

Help us preserve Rochester's built resources, and teach others to do the same!

It’s that time of year!  ROC the Day is a 24-hour giving opportunity to support not-for-profits in the nine-county Greater Rochester area. Visit ROCtheDay.org, a secure online giving platform, before MIDNIGHT tonight to contribute to any participating organization, including The Landmark Society.  All donations made during during ROC the Day stay local.

This year, we’re pleased to announce that Landmark Society supporter Marshall Boxes has generously agreed to match ROC the Day donations up to $1,000. Don’t miss this chance to double your donation on November 28th only!

Your ROC the day 2023 contributions help support The Landmark Society’s many programs and initiatives. This year, we’re continuing our efforts to focus on creating educational opportunities in the traditional trades. We plan to provide paid training in historic wood window repair to local individuals, in an effort to bolster the traditional trades workforce in our region. Earlier this year, we collaborated with preservation advocate and Landmark Society Preservation Award recipient, Stacy Grinsfelder to conduct a wood window workshop at the 1892 Epworth Hall in Silver Lake (Wyoming County).  Silver Lake homeowner and Landmark supporter Bradley Huber shared more about this event at our website.

The Landmark Society relies on the generosity of our community to maintain our programming and advocacy in Rochester and the surrounding nine-county area. Your support is critical to our mission; it enables us to continue to support homeowners, grassroots community and neighborhood organizations, and historic sites throughout our region.

Thank you for your donation, and thank you to Marshall Boxes for their matching commitment!
