2021 Virtual House & Garden Tour: Waterfront Properties

EXTENDED THROUGH JULY 5th!

Lake Ontario. The Genesee River. The Erie Canal. Irondequoit Bay. The Finger Lakes. We have so many options for waterfront properties in our area. Many of them are not visible from the public road. Fortunately, owners are willing to share their homes with you, in our virtual tour coming to a computer or mobile device near you in June 2021.

This beautiful, professionally produced video will highlight sites near these bodies of water – and perhaps a few water features you didn’t even know existed. You will enjoy seasonal summer houses, year-round homes, and other unique properties. We might sneak in a few that are not right on the water, if they are special places we just can’t resist sharing with you. As with any Landmark Society tour, they will all be architecturally and/or historically interesting with their own fascinating characteristics.

The tour will be available to enjoy the third week of June – from June 18th through July 5th. You may even purchase “additional viewer” tickets at a deep discount for anyone that will watch the video with you -whether they are sitting in front of your screen or in their own home across the country.

In case you were wondering – we have not given up on the concept of live, in-person house tours. We are confident you will be able to enjoy those types of events with us in the future. The virtual tour is still the safest way to go this year – and it allows you access to places we’d never be able to bring crowds into in a traditional walking tour. Your support by purchasing tickets to these virtual tours enables us to keep our budget happy, so we may continue to plan for traditional tours in the future, when public health conditions permit.

How will it work?

Ticket sales are now live (scroll back up to purchase). They will be available on our website only. You must have a valid email address to receive your tickets, but please note that it is not necessary to create an EventBrite account to purchase. You may check out as a “Guest.”

Landmark Society member full viewer ticket – $20
Nonmember full viewer ticket- $25
Additional viewer (someone who is going to watch with you) $14

Once you’ve purchased your tickets, three things will happen:

1. You will receive an initial confirmation email.

2. About a week before the tour opens on June 18th you will receive an email with a pdf of the tour program, to print out or enjoy online.

3. When the tour goes live on June 18th you’ll receive an email with a direct link to the tour, which will stay active until the night of July 5th.
