Walking Tour of the historic West Bloomfield Hamlet

May 31, 2014 @ 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Free

To celebrate National Preservation month, the Town of West Bloomfield is hosting – with the Congregational Church – its first ever preservation event: a walk in the W. Bloomfield hamlet to discover the variety of architecture that highlights this community’s 200+ years of history. Meet our Architecutral Research Coordinator, Cynthia Howk, at the picturesque Gothic Revival church –  set on the highest site in the hamlet. It’s a real landmark, with its tall spire and handsome design.

This event came about as a result of recent discussions with new Town Supervisor Todd Campbell, who won a Landmark Society of Western New York Historic Home Award in 2012 & new initiatives to include historic preservation in their Town Comprehensive Plan, and increase community awareness.

Free event | Saturday,  MAY 31, 2014 | 10:00 a.m. | First Congregational Church,  #9135 Main St. (Routes 5 & 20),  at the four corners of the W. Bloomfield hamlet, Ontario County
