Tour of LGBTQ Rochester Women’s History (In-Person)

November 6, 2021 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Our 6th LGBTQ Historic Walking Tour celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Empty Closet publication and LGBTQ Women’s History. An in-person tour will be held on Saturday, November 6, 4:00pm, and will start at the corner of Harper and Wilmer Streets. There will be a reception, hosted by The Landmark Society, following the tour at the Avenue Pub, 522 Monroe Ave. A virtual tour, including additional sites, can be viewed on Wednesday, 10 November, 6:00pm. Plan to attend both. Thanks to our partners, Evelyn Bailey of the Out Alliance, the Human Rights Campaign, ImageOut – Rochester’s LGBT Film Festival, and the City of Rochester.

Participants might want to park at Brueggers, Monroe and Goodman, to return to the Avenue Pub for a reception, hosted by The Landmark Society, at the conclusion of the walking tour.
