Popular Park Ave. walking tour is back this Thursday!

Join The Landmark Society and the Young Urban Preservationists for a guided walking tour of Park Avenue’s ABC Streets neighborhood! We’ll explore the architecture and history of one of Rochester’s most iconic neighborhoods. As a special bonus–we’re even getting you inside four private homes! This is a rare opportunity to get a peek inside these homes and see the neighborhood through the eyes of local architecture and history experts.

We’re offering 4 different tour start times to choose from. All tours will depart from Immanuel Baptist Church (815 Park Ave).

Your purchase supports neighborhood efforts to create a Park Avenue Historic District.

Thursday, August 29th | First tour starts at 5:30 PM | Tickets: $25

Steering Committee meeting tomorrow

Come meet the small but mighty team that runs the YUPs! This month’s steering committee meeting takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, 8/28 at 6:30 PM. Meetings typically last about an hour and anyone is welcome to attend.

It’s a great opportunity to learn more about work, our long term goals, and find out if you want to get involved.

We have a new meeting location this month! Email Caitlin for details.

One more Brainery class!

There are just a few spots left for our last Architecture in the Wild class of the summer! For the first time, we’re taking our class to the Maplewood neighborhood, where we’ll examine the magnificent architecture of the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed Seneca Parkway.

Register on the Brainery's website
