ROC the Day with The Landmark Society!

ROC the Day before MIDNIGHT tonight!

	It’s not too late!  There are still a few hours left to make a donation to The Landmark Society through ROC the Day, and help support historic preservation initiatives in Rochester and the surrounding nine-county area. If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out our Instagram and Facebook stories to see our ROC the Day interview with Courtney DeRusha, a skilled mason who recently visited the Corn Hill neighborhood to show a homeowner how to repair and repoint her historic brick.  We also talked to one of the recipients of our 2022 Traditional Trades Award, Demetrius Dilulio, co-owner of AMA Blacksmiths. Courtney and Demetrius talked to us about the importance of the traditional trades like masonry, metal work, wood work, stained glass, window restoration, carpentry, and more.  Without skilled craftspeople to repair and preserve our historic resources, The Landmark Society’s preservation advocacy wouldn’t be successful. We’re working to create new training opportunities in the traditional trades, and we need your financial support to do it. Every dollar helps!
