Session Spotlight: Preserving Harriet Tubman’s Landscape Legacy

In the lead-up to the 2020 NY Statewide Preservation Conference, we’re spotlighting some of the sessions and workshops that you’ll be able to attend. One session that we’re excited about is Preserving Harriet Tubman’s Landscape Legacy, which will explore how the landscape at Harriet Tubman National Historical Park can be interpreted and used today to carry on Tubman’s legacy.

New classes from the YUPs

This spring, our Young Urban Preservationists (YUPs) are offering two brand new classes at the Rochester Brainery:

On May 14th, in Rochester’s Marvelous Monuments, learn about the famous and forgotten monuments sprinkled throughout the greater Rochester area.

On May 19th, Landscape Architects of Rochester will explore the landscape architects who designed the landscapes (think parks, parkways, gardens) that make Rochester such a beautiful place to live.
