Tavern Takeover coming up 8/14

On Wednesday evening, August 14th, the Landmark Society and the Young Urban Preservationists (YUPs) are partnering with Roc City Rotary and Silver Lake Brewing Project to bring you the Tavern Takeover at the oldest house in Monroe County. The Landmark Society’s Stone-Tolan House Historic Site was built in the late 18th and early 19th centuries as a farm, home, and tavern. For one night only, we’re turning it back into a functioning tavern with beer from Silver Lake Brewing and snacks.

PLUS: for the first time ever, we’re also bringing you a sing-along with the Flower City Beer Choir! Flower City Beer Choir is among the newest chapters of the national Beer Choir Movement uniting local beer and song!

Wednesday, August 14th | 6:30-9:00 PM | Stone-Tolan House Historic Site, 2370 East Ave.

We, in a new partnership with Eastman Community Music School, are thrilled to announce the second noontime concert at St. Joseph’s Park during the month of July. The second is a performance of the JapKam Duo today from 12:00 – 12:45 PM. Experience the extraordinary sounds of JapKam in one of Rochester’s most unique urban parks!

JapKam Duo formed in 2016. Letitia Jap, violinist and Kenneth Kam, classical guitarist, are both on the faculty of Eastman Community Music School. Both Ms. Jap and Mr. Kam are doctoral students at Eastman School of Music. They have performed extensively in the Rochester area, including venues like the George Eastman Museum, the City of Rochester Public Market, the Little Movie Theatre, and St. John’s Home for Elderly.
