Full Moon Flashlight Tours return to Stone-Tolan

You never know what will happen under a full moon! Slip into the past under the veil of twilight in this rare evening tour of the oldest building in Monroe County. Visit the tavern room, kitchen and other spaces, then stroll the grounds and enjoy the kitchen garden, a look at the late 18th century barn, and 200 year old lawn games and toys.

Grab your flashlight and head over to the Stone-Tolan Historic Site at 2370 East Avenue, on July 17th and August 14th. No reservations required and the entry fee for a flashlight tour of the historic house, popcorn and story sharing is $15.00 per family for Landmark Society members ($18 for non-members), $5.00 for individuals ($6 for non-members) attending solo or with a buddy. S’more Kits can be purchased at the door, along with beverages. Complete event info available on our Events Calendar.

Tuesday, July 17 | 7-8 p.m. | Stone-Tolan Historic Site | 2370 East Ave.

Celebrating 75 Years

To help us celebrate 75 years of service to western New York, we put together 75+ Reasons to Celebrate The Landmark Society’s 75 Years, a publication that highlights just some of the preservation and revitalization successes the organization has helped achieve since 1937. Over the next year we’ll be featuring some of those 75+ reasons in greater depth on our website, with photos and all. Click here to visit our Success Stories page and read up on two of The Landmark Society’s earliest successes–our work in the Corn Hill neighborhood in the 1960s and our purchase of the Stone-Tolan Historic Site in 1956.

Another–more musical–way to celebrate 75 years!

Another great way you can help us celebrate our 75th birthday is by joining us for a special 75th Anniversary Jazz & Art Celebration on Saturday, July 28 at Max at High Falls. We’ll have live music from living landmarks like Gap Mangione, Jimmie Highsmith, Jr., and Marv Parker, Jr. and the Band AND live artistic creations from local artists. Grab your dancing shoes and head over to our website for more info and tickets. Once you’re on the event page, be sure to follow the link for more information about the great artists and musicians we’ll be featuring.

Saturday, July 28 | 7-10 p.m. | Max at High Falls | 60 Browns Race, Rochester | Ticket prices vary, see our website for details
