One of the most enjoyable sights on IDT are the kitchens – and there are some truly inspiring ones on this year’s tour. No worries if seeing those great kitchens gets your appetite going, there will be ample opportunity for snacks and meals. On Friday night there will be complimentary light refreshments at the Craft Café. The Outfit Collective in the Michaels-Stern building is also offering complimentary munchies and beverages during the tour. On Saturday, there will be a surprise food vendor guest at St. Joseph’s Park.  Restaurants in the area are having special Saturday lunch hours for us, including Tapas 177, Scotland Yard Pub, Craft Café and the Amudan Café. Of course they’ll all be open Friday and Saturday night as well. You will have no trouble keeping your hunger or thirst under control.

Friday, Sept. 30th & Saturday, Oct. 1st | Advance tickets members: $20  Advance tickets non-members: $26 | Click here for tickets

Thank you to Allyn’s Creek Garden Club!

allynscreekgardenclub

The Landmark Society is fortunate to have a beautiful new garden full of native plants on the Stone-Tolan grounds designed to attract many kinds of pollinators. This spring, the Allyn’s Creek Garden Club donated the garden in response to an initiative by the National Pollinator Garden Network, a group of established conservation and horticulture organizations. NPGN launched the “Million Pollinator Garden Challenge” to urge gardeners across the country to create spaces that would be havens for insects, birds and other pollinators. What a blooming success! By late August, after some of the earlier-blooming plants had flowered, the garden was full and lush with later-flowering plants visited by hundreds of…pollinators!  >>Check out the blog post for more pictures.
