Cocktails & Carburetors this weekend!

C&Cwebslider_resized

Cocktails & Carburetors is the perfect weekend for vintage car enthusiasts and anyone with an appreciation of beautiful objects. Attendees will experience the art of meticulously preserved automobiles and the architecture of the garages that house these drivable works of art.

At the kickoff cocktail party at a working restoration shop, you will “belly up” to the car-lift for your favorite libation and feast on gourmet delicacies as you take in the huge collection of eye candy stored and undergoing restoration.

Saturday is the day for you to leisurely drive to the five garages that are rarely (if ever) open to the public with a lunch stop at one.

And Sunday you are invited to Classics on the Hill at Oak Hill Country Club with a voucher for food service included. You are encouraged to be seen in your own vintage automobile but a Prius is just as acceptable a mode of transportation for this new fundraising event. Tickets for this weekend lineup are $125 each and can be purchased online or by calling 585.546.7029 x11.

It’s an unprecedented experience. For the first time in over 50 years, we’re opening the Stone-Tolan Historic Site for a dining opportunity found nowhere else. Enjoy a four-course Harvest Dinner of a locally sourced farm to table menu by Green Zebra Catering Company, served in this over 200-year-old tavern and farmhouse. Be among the first to enjoy the marriage of amazing cuisine with a one of a kind setting. Due to the size of the historic rooms, participation is limited! $75 per person. The Landmark Society’s Preservation Grant Fund program offers funds for preliminary design and planning studies to help make positive improvements to at-risk buildings. The grant does not fund bricks and mortar repairs. The program was initially funded through a bequest from Elizabeth (Libby) Stewart. Libby was a longtime Landmark Society staff member who was dedicated to the revitalization of neighborhoods and historic structures. Applications are now available for the next round of funding. The application deadline is October 7, 2014. Visit our website to learn more.
